Frank Rakoncay was a noted Chicago artist whose artworks are held in the collections of several local corporations. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and was nominated as one of the best new artists at the Chicago Art Awards. His work while living in Chicago, was accepted into the prestigious Chicago & Vicinity Show at the Art Institute. His art has been shown in more than 60 gallery and museum exhibits nationwide, and is included in the collections of Chicago corporations such as Borg-Warner, Leo Burnett, Standard Oil and Kemper Insurance the city of Chicago and the DuPage County Library in Wheaton.
Frank Rakoncay died of cancer at 62 years of age in St Augustine, Florida.
