Welcome to the Historic River Guild Gallery Center and home of J. Petter Galleries. The Galleries are the combined Petter Art Gallery and Petter Wine Gallery. We are an unusual find for art enthusiasts, collectors, and designers, plus a beautiful destination for wine lovers.
J. Petter Galleries is located in a unique 12,500 square foot fine art gallery building that first housed area artists in the 1930s. It was reintroduced as the Joyce Petter Gallery in 1993. The Art Gallery now features an eclectic collection of fine paintings, sculpture, glass, and more. The galleries are also home to Petter Wine Gallery where you’ll find boutique wines and artful foods at both the wine/small plates bar and wine shop. The Wine Bar/Shop is also known for its private collection of unique cheeses and hand poured chocolates. Of course, you may walk the galleries with a glass from our wine bar.
Say hello to our multi-talented team! You may find us behind the bar, moving art, or engaging with customers. We love to make J. Petter Galleries fun, inviting, and cozy.

If folks think they have to drive to the big city for quality art and quality wine–they are mistaken. They should visit J. Petter Galleries. This place is a gem. Whenever we have out of town guests we bring them to see this gallery.
BLUE contributor Alexandra Fluegel discovered one well-known gallery that now gives the art of winemaking a place alongside, J. Petter Art & Wine Gallery in Saugatuck. 'There is something about the finer things in life,' owner Juli Petter said. Michigan BLUE considers all the special qualities of this Great Lakes State to be 'the finer points of lie.'
